Monitoring the observance of prohibitions and the proper labeling of literature, films and other materials is the prerogative of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and other departments. This was announced on Wednesday, April 29, by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"This is the prerogative of the Ministry of Culture, which, of course, will monitor this. No one should have any doubts about this," he said during his briefing.

Peskov stressed that in these matters, we are talking primarily about compliance with the laws in force in the country, the "spirit and letter" of which all citizens must follow.
