A fire from a burning oil refinery in Tuapse spread to a nearby two-story house, but was quickly extinguished. This was announced on April 29 at the Operational Headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory.

"The fire spread to the two—storey building last night at 02:40. There were no residents in the house at the time of the emergency - they were evacuated in advance, on the morning of April 28. The fire in the residential building spread over an area of 150 square meters. He was completely eliminated at 04:40," reads a message posted on the Operstaba Telegram channel.

The ministry added that as of April 29, 60 people, including nine children, had been evacuated from houses located near the refinery. All those who needed accommodation were accommodated in Tuapse hotels.

The operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory reported on April 28 that a fire started at the Tuapse refinery due to falling drone debris. At least 122 people and 39 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Residents of nearby houses began to be evacuated. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said rescuers were taking all measures to eliminate the consequences. A regional emergency mode has been introduced in Tuapse.

Earlier that day, the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, decided to increase the group of divers in the Tuapse area to inspect the Black Sea for oil spills after a fire at an oil storage facility.
