The Russia—ASEAN Business Forum will be held in Kazan from 17 to 19 June.
In accordance with Decree No. 268 of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 21, 2026, preparations are underway for the Russia—ASEAN summit, which will be held in Kazan from June 17 to 19, on the sidelines of which a large—scale Russia-ASEAN business forum will be held. The leaders of the Association, heads of international organizations, foreign officials, heads of major companies, and leading representatives of the business, expert, and media communities are expected to participate in its work.
"The agenda of the Forum is planned to include issues of cooperation within the framework of the EAEU—ASEAN partnership. Its holding will be a strategically important step towards creating the most favorable conditions for the development of trade and economic relations, as well as the diversification of forms and areas of cooperation between Russia and the countries of Southeast Asia," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and Holding of the Russia-ASEAN Summit.
ASEAN consists of Brunei, East Timor, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Thailand and the Philippines. The previous summit of Russia and the Association was held in 2021 in the format of a videoconference. The first meeting took place in 2005. The parties established a dialogue relationship in 1996. In 2018, Russia and ASEAN became strategic partners.
