Russians were told about a full five days minus one hour between the May holidays
All five days between the May holidays will be working days, but on May 8, Russians will have a shortened working day. Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, told about this on April 29.
"According to the approved production calendar for this year, May 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are working days," he said in an interview with TASS.
The MP stressed that May 8 is a shortened working day, as Victory Day is celebrated the next day, May 9.
A SuperJob study on April 28 revealed that about 14% of Russian residents will work during the May holidays, which is a record number of people working on these dates over the past five years. At the same time, according to the survey, there will be more men in the workplace than women (15% and 13%, respectively).
