An elderly man died in a fire in a private house in the Tula region.

In the Chernsky district of the Tula region, an elderly man died as a result of a fire in a private house. This is reported by the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

The fire occurred on Tuesday evening, April 28, in the village of Yerzhino. A one-story apartment building on Molodezhnaya Street caught fire.

A 69-year-old man died as a result of the fire. The Ministry of Emergency Situations notes that one more person was evacuated.

The fire area was 96 square meters, TSN24 writes. Seven people and three pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The causes and circumstances of the fire are being established.

On the same day, a large fire occurred in a building under construction in the north of Moscow. At least eight people were killed and 12 injured. The UK has opened a criminal case.
