The decision of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to withdraw from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and OPEC+ may lead to a split between the states of the Middle East. This was reported on April 28 by the newspaper La Repubblica.
"This decision is based on disagreements with Saudi Arabia and the tension caused by the conflict," the newspaper notes.
