An M1.0 class flare occurred on the Sun.
A strong M1.0 class flare occurred on the Sun. This was reported on April 28 at the Institute of Applied Geophysics.
"An M1.0 flash lasting 23 minutes has been registered," TASS said in a statement.
It is specified that the outbreak occurred at 15:33 Moscow time in the X-ray range in the 4420 spot group.
Before that, in the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) On April 27, the Russian Academy of Sciences reported that two powerful solar flares occurred during the night and Monday morning. It was noted that strong outbreaks were recorded at 1:57 Moscow time and at 9:45 Moscow time. Experts assigned the score M6.0 to the first event, M1.0 to the second.
On April 24, the IKI RAS reported that a flare of the highest score, X2.5, was registered on the Sun. According to the institute, the flare was accompanied by a large plasma release. However, the center of the explosion was shifted to the edge of the Sun, and the plasma went sideways, because of this, there is a high probability that the event will be neutral for the Earth.
