About 3 thousand cars will take part in the sowing campaign in Transbaikalia

Agrarians of the Trans-Baikal Territory will use about 3 thousand units of agricultural machinery in spring field work. The sowing campaign will begin after May 10, Roman Katnikov, head of the crop production department of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, said at a zonal meeting in Aginsky.

According to the press service of the regional government, 1,236 tractors of various brands, 1,073 units of tillage equipment and 672 units of sowing equipment will take part in the sowing.

Currently, the repair and maintenance of the machine and tractor fleet is being completed in the farms. The readiness of the equipment is 97%. It will be fully ready by the beginning of field work.

Regional agricultural enterprises are annually allocated subsidies to compensate for part of the cost of purchasing equipment. In 2026, 176.8 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes, which is 5% more than a year earlier.

State aid is provided within the framework of the national project "Technological provision of food security," writes ChitaMedia news agency. The program is designed to provide the Russian agricultural complex with new domestic equipment.

Earlier it was reported that in Transbaikalia in 2026, financing for reimbursement of part of the cost of insurance premiums for growing crops will be increased by 40%. The total amount of state support will amount to 25.5 million rubles.
