Moscow court bans websites with rapper's song Face for promoting suicide
The Ostankino court of Moscow, at the request of the prosecutor, banned the sites on which the song of the rapper Face (Ivan Dremin, recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), propagandizing suicide, was posted. This is stated on April 28 in the materials reviewed by Izvestia.
According to the court's findings, the publication of such materials poses a threat to the life, mental health, as well as the moral and spiritual development of children. The court recalled that those who distribute such content face administrative liability. The lyrics of the rapper's song were banned by Rospotrebnadzor in September 2020, and two Internet sites were blocked in this regard.
In December last year, a court in Bashkiria detained Face in absentia in a criminal case on evading the duties of a foreign agent. According to investigators, the musician violated the requirements of the legislation on foreign agents by continuing to publish materials on social networks without appropriate labeling.
In June 2025, the Nevsky District Court of St. Petersburg banned the distribution of the songs "Packing", "What kind of business...", "Narcos" by rapper Kizaru (real name Oleg Nechiporenko) for promoting narcotic drugs.
