The Sun reported on the ban on the use of sun loungers in Greece
Greece has imposed restrictions on the use of sun loungers on beaches as part of the fight against the excessive flow of tourists. This was reported by The Sun newspaper.
It is noted that the new rules affected 251 beaches across the country. In these areas, vacationers are allowed to sunbathe only on towels, without installing sun loungers.
The measure is aimed at preserving the natural appearance of coastal areas and reducing the burden on the ecosystem.
In addition, the construction of concrete piers, breakwaters and paved paths is prohibited on these beaches.
In the Maldives, on April 13, a shark attacked a Spanish tourist on their honeymoon, resulting in his leg being amputated. The injured man was taken by helicopter to the hospital. Doctors were unable to save his leg, and amputation was necessary.
