Belousov pointed out the importance of cooperation between the Russian Federation and Tajikistan in the military sphere.

Russian-Tajik military cooperation has great potential and importance in ensuring the security of the Central Asian region. This was announced by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov during talks with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Sobirzoda on April 28.

"We consider Russian-Tajik cooperation in the field of defense as a key factor of security and stability in Central Asia. This is especially important against the background of the situation related to the armed conflict in Iran, with the aggravation of the situation in other regions of the world," Belousov said on the sidelines of a meeting of the heads of military departments of the SCO member states in Bishkek.

According to Belousov, the Russian Ministry of Defense is assisting in equipping and developing Tajikistan's armed forces and sharing its combat experience. According to the minister, the Russian Federation is interested in developing bilateral cooperation between the armed forces to ensure the security of the two countries.
