In Finland, the St. George ribbon is perceived as a radical symbol. People who wear it in public get remarks on the streets. Finnish activist Sally Rayski, who moved to Russia, warned about this on April 28.

"Bans on St. George's ribbons have already been introduced. When I came out in Finland with the St. George ribbon, I was reprimanded. The first time it happened was in 2022, and the last time was in 2025. Although, it's just a ribbon, it's a memory and a story, what's wrong with that? They say it's a radical sign," she told TASS.
