The Riga deputy spoke about the proposal to ban Russian names in Latvia
Latvia regularly puts forward proposals to ban Russian names and surnames in the country. Alexey Roslikov, deputy of the Riga City Council, told about this on April 28.
"One of the suggestions of public people was — this is a question (of Russians. — Ed.) surnames and first names, so that they simply disappear. They say that's enough, we will completely assimilate, as they like to repeat this word," Roslikov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
