73% of monthly precipitation fell in Moscow
73% of the April precipitation rate fell in Moscow on Monday, April 27. Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, reported this on his Telegram channel.
According to the forecaster, this is a new daily record for the amount of precipitation in Moscow for April 27.
"Also, a new daily precipitation record was set in Kolomna, where 21 mm of heavenly moisture fell into precipitation meters per day, which is 58% of the April norm, and the previous record in 2002 was 11 mm," the Moscow City News agency quotes Leus.
Earlier, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, said that the peak of snowfall in the Moscow region had been passed, but precipitation of varying intensity would remain in the city until Wednesday, Moscow 24 writes.
He added that the wind strength is also decreasing: from 15-20 m/s on April 27 to 10 m/s on April 28 and 3-8 m/s on April 29. The changes are associated with a gradual increase in atmospheric pressure and the weakening of the cyclone, writes Life.Ru .
