The fire season has started in seven more forestry districts of the Angara region.

In the Irkutsk region, the fire season has started on the territory of seven more forestry districts. This is reported by the regional government.

The fire season has been declared open in Bratsk, Zalarinsky, Kachugsky, Nizhneudinsky, Padunsky, Tulunsky and Chunsky forestry districts. The order signed by the Minister of Forestry of the region is valid from April 27.

Earlier, a similar season started in nine other forest districts, IA IrkutskMedia clarifies. Thus, today it is open in 16 of the 37 forestry departments under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Forests.

As of April 27, eight fires with a total area of 60.8 hectares have occurred in the forests of the Irkutsk region since the beginning of the fire season. The fires were promptly extinguished on the day of discovery, the authorities say. In 2025, 59 fires with an area of more than 1.8 thousand hectares were recorded on the same date.

Fire situation monitoring has been organized. Residents and guests of the region are urged to protect nature and comply with fire safety requirements, for violation of which administrative or criminal liability is provided.
