Chaika also expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for the confidence shown in his appointment as head of the organization. He noted that he was aware of the full responsibility of this decision in the face of the tense international situation and increasing external pressure.

He also called improving the effectiveness of existing programs the main areas of work of the department. Chaika stressed the importance of combining the efforts of government, public and expert associations that operate in the external humanitarian field.
