Actor Lev Shimelov was cremated and will be buried at the Vagankovo cemetery.

Honored Artist of the RSFSR, actor and director Lev Shimelov was cremated, and the funeral will be held at the Vagankovsky cemetery. This was announced on April 27 by Russian theater and film actress Yanina Melekhova.

"Lev Pavlovich will be buried at the Vagankovo cemetery, relatives and the closest ones will decide later when," she said in an interview with TASS.

Also, according to Melekhova, Shimelov's farewell took place on April 26 in the hall of the Botkin Hospital. It was there that the actor spent the last days of his life.

Shimelov died on April 24 at the age of 96. One of his best numbers is a parody of cartoon characters, which he invented himself. In 1952, Shimerov was invited to the professional stage and performed as an entertainer of the jazz orchestra of Azerbaijan.
