Buyers can confirm their age through the Maks messenger in more than 100,000 retail outlets in Russia. This was announced on April 27 by Roman Chekushov, State Secretary and Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

According to him, the agency sees how the functionality of Max is expanding, especially in the field of trade.

"For example, it is now possible to confirm your age when purchasing certain goods in more than 100,000 retail outlets. This functionality has already been implemented in all major federal retail chains," TASS quoted Chekushov as saying.

He added that the Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with retail chains, is working to introduce confirmation through Maks of the preferential status of a pensioner or a member of a large family. Since April 27, this opportunity has already been available at self-service cash desks in all Auchan stores, the deputy minister said.

In addition, the ministry plans to integrate Max more deeply with the retailer's loyalty program and connect classic cash registers.
