Deceased TV presenter Alexey Pimanov knew how to set people up to achieve their goals. This was announced on April 27 by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

"He saw the goal, he knew how, like a real military man, to set people up to achieve the goal. Like a real military man, he took care of his subordinates, I know this firsthand. He was like a military man, a true patriot. And he left his military post for heaven," he said at the farewell ceremony with the journalist.

Svetlana Petrenko, an official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, said that law enforcement officers often collaborated with Pimanov and his projects. With the participation of the IC staff, many investigations of the "Man and the Law" program were conducted, she explained.

"Generally, Pimanov is equal to justice. That's what connected us: the Investigative Committee, the investigators, and the journalists. It's a great loss, it's a pity. He left very early," Petrenko stressed.

Natalia Metlina, a journalist and deputy of the Moscow City Duma, suggested that the scale of Pimanov's personality has yet to be assessed. According to her, the TV presenter has always helped his fellow veteran journalists with their work. The deputy added that Pimanov still has many projects that he did not manage to complete.

"He was in charge, he was the engine. We were sitting in the carriage, and we were all pumping fuel into his soul, into his heart. He was an incredible man. He was a man of fantastic, impeccable taste in television. <...> He was a great father, an impeccable grandfather, and a husband. And for us, he was a true friend and a huge wall, you know, a support," concluded Metlina.

Earlier that day, a farewell ceremony for the Pimanovs began in the funeral hall of the Troekurovsky cemetery. His family, friends and colleagues came to say goodbye to the journalist. The ceremony was also attended by many representatives of the television industry and public figures.

Pimanov died on April 23 at the age of 65. His wife, actress Olga Pogodina, said that the cause of death of the TV presenter was a heart attack. Pimanov's colleague, director of photography Sergey Komarov, said that the journalist had never complained about his health and was actively involved in sports.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Pimanov's departure a loss for Russian journalism. The heads of the Ministry of Defense and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Andrei Belousov and Alexander Bastrykin, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, Head of the Ministry of Culture Olga Lyubimova, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and others expressed their condolences.
