Unknown assailants hijacked a cargo ship near the coast of Somalia. This was announced on April 26 by the UK Maritime Trade Authority (UKMTO).

"The UKMTO has received a report of an incident six nautical miles (11 km) northeast of Garakada, Somalia. It is reported that unauthorized persons seized a cargo ship, which was redirected to territorial waters," the organization's website says.
