In the second match of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) semifinals on April 26, a massive brawl took place between Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and Avangard Omsk with the participation of hockey players from both teams. The meeting was held at the Arena 2000-Lokomotiv stadium.

In the 18th minute, Lokomotiv defender Artyom Sergeev opened the scoring. Immediately after the abandoned puck, Yaroslavtsev striker Alexander Radulov got into a verbal altercation with the opponent's goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakov, who in response rushed at his opponent.

This provoked a scuffle, as a result of which the judges decided to remove both five who were on the ice — only ten hockey players went to the penalty boxes.

In the match between Ak Bars Kazan and Dinamo Minsk on April 15, several fights took place in Kazan between the players of the opposing teams. Due to a series of violations, three players from each team were on the penalty benches at the same time.
