In the city of Kimry, Tver region, a three-year-old child died after falling from a fifth-floor window of an apartment building. This was announced by the regional prosecutor's office on April 26.
"The victim died in a medical facility," the department's Telegram channel says.
According to preliminary data, the boy was alone in the room and opened the window on his own. At the time of the incident, his mother was in another part of the apartment.
An inspection is currently underway, during which all the circumstances and causes of the incident will be established.
The prosecutor's office noted that following the results of the audit, an assessment will be given of compliance with the requirements of legislation in the field of protection of the rights of minors. The progress and results of the procedural audit are under the supervision of the supervisory authority.
