A mass brawl occurred at a boxing tournament in Turkey after the Russian's fight
In the Turkish city of Trabzon, a mass brawl took place at a boxing tournament with the participation of spectators after a duel with Russian athlete Sergey Gorokhov. This is reported by the Karar portal.
"After the end of the fight, some of the audience expressed dissatisfaction with the celebration of the Russian boxer and headed to the ring," the publication says.
According to the publication, Gorokhov fought a title fight according to the UBO version against Turkish boxer Emirkhan Kalkan and won. There were tense episodes between the sides during the duel, and after it ended, the situation escalated.
As specified, dozens of people ran out to the ring, after which a fight began. Objects, including bottles and chairs, were thrown towards the playground, and the participants in the conflict struck each other. The organizers were forced to interrupt the tournament, and the result of the fight was not officially announced.
It is reported that an investigation has been launched into the incident. It is planned to study surveillance camera recordings and eyewitness videos to identify all participants in the incident.
Sergey Gorokhov is 36 years old, and in 2021 he became the WBC International champion.
