A US Secret Service agent wounded in a shooting at a gala dinner attended by President Donald Trump and White House correspondents has been discharged from the hospital. This was reported on April 26 by the NBC television channel.

"A Secret Service officer who was injured in a shooting during a confrontation with a suspect at a White House Correspondents' Association dinner has been discharged from the hospital," the TV channel said in a statement.
