- Falkov called the inevitable arrival of AI in the Russian higher education system
Artificial intelligence (AI) will inevitably integrate into the Russian higher education system and lead to its serious transformation. This was stated on April 25 by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov at the summing up of the open expert dialogue "Higher Education in the new technological era" at the National Center "Russia".
"As for artificial intelligence, one thing is obvious: we don't have ready-made solutions yet. And there is no conviction, there is only an understanding that AI will inevitably come to the higher education system and change a lot," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to the head of the Ministry of Education and Science, a number of universities in the country have already developed certain practices for the use of AI technologies. The Minister stressed the need to systematize this experience.
"Our task is to do this correctly, meaningfully, and scale these correct practices to the entire system," Falkov concluded.
Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy head of the Russian Presidential Administration, said on April 23 that the world is gradually approaching the creation of a common AI that can improve itself without human intervention. He noticed that AI was no longer just a program on a computer.
