Access to the Munku-Sardyk Mountain area in Buryatia is restricted until April 29. This was announced on April 25 by the head of the republic Alexey Tsydenov.

"On the situation at Munku-Sardyk. We have decided to restrict access to this area from today to April 29," Tsydenov wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to his owls, search operations are currently underway there. In addition, it was decided to introduce a municipal-level emergency regime. The governor added that avalanche danger also remains.

On the same day, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Buryatia reported that the search for tourists trapped in an avalanche on Mount Munku-Sardyk had resumed. Earlier, the operation had to be interrupted due to adverse weather conditions and terrain features in the area.

The Agency for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the republic added that three men injured in an avalanche in Buryatia independently got out from under the rubble, they were hospitalized. In addition, the body of a deceased woman from this group was found.
