UK opened a criminal case after the deaths of three fishermen near Volgograd
The bodies of three fishermen who disappeared on April 24 in the Volgograd region have been found, and the search for the fourth continues. This was reported on April 25 in the Western Interregional Directorate of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for Transport.
"A criminal case has been opened on this fact on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic safety and operation rules for inland waterway transport, which negligently resulted in the death of two or more persons")," the department said in a message on the MAX messenger.
According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region, four fishermen on a boat disappeared in the Svetloyarsk district. The body of one of them was found near the fishing spot. During the search, the bodies of three men were recovered from the water, and the search for the fourth person and the vessel continues.
A source from Izvestia reported on April 24 that the fishermen disappeared after a storm on the Volga River in the Volgograd region. It was noted that four men set sail from the marina in Svetly Yar in the morning. Soon a storm arose, and the boat, according to preliminary data, sank. The body of a 61-year-old man was found in the water 2 km from the village of Granki. The vessel and the other fishermen could not be found.
