Roskachestvo warned Russians about fines for picking mushrooms in the spring
Russians face fines or criminal charges for violating mushroom picking rules. Igor Pozdnyakov, the chief legal officer of Roskachestvo, told about this on April 25.
"It is forbidden to collect mushrooms listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and the red books of the subjects of the Russian Federation. An administrative fine is provided for such a fee <...> in the amount of 2.5 to 5 thousand rubles (art. 8.35 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation). If intent is proved, that is, the person knew that the mushroom was listed in the Red Book, criminal liability under art. 260.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation begins. The maximum penalty is imprisonment for up to four years with a fine of up to 1 million rubles," Pozdnyakov said in an interview with TASS.
He noted that mushrooms cannot be harvested on the territories of nature reserves, national parks, sanctuaries and other specially protected areas, in case of violation, a fine of 3 to 4 thousand rubles may be issued to a Russian.
The agency's interlocutor recalled that mushrooms containing hallucinogenic substances cannot be collected, stored, processed and sold. During the operation of special fire protection or emergency regimes, a complete ban on staying in forests and collecting forest resources may be imposed, Pozdnyakov stressed. According to him, the fine for violation can range from 40 to 50 thousand rubles in accordance with Part 3 of art. 8.32 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
On April 23, Turgunboy Zokirov, an assistant at the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure at the O. E. Kutafin University (MGUA), recalled that a fine may be issued for the release of smoldering coals in green areas, depending on the circumstances. He clarified that violation of fire safety requirements entails administrative liability, the offender may face a warning or an administrative fine in the amount of 5 to 15 thousand rubles.
