- Bailiffs began transferring the property of ex-Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Ivanov to the state
Bailiffs began the procedure of applying to the state income of the property of the former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Timur Ivanov, seized at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia. This is evidenced by the case materials provided by TASS on April 25.
According to the documents, the Main Interregional Directorate (GMU) of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) of Russia has opened enforcement proceedings against Ivanov. It is related to the conversion of movable and immovable property into state revenue in accordance with federal law.
According to the court's decision, the state should transfer the property acquired with unconfirmed income. Its total cost is about 1.2 billion rubles. Among the seized property are four commercial organizations worth more than 70 million rubles, 44 expensive real estate objects in Moscow, Karelia, Moscow and Tver regions, as well as premium class cars, luxury goods and cultural values.
Ivanov was detained on April 23, 2024 in connection with charges of accepting a bribe. According to the investigation, he entered into a criminal conspiracy with the heads of contractors who worked at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense, and concluded contracts with them in exchange for personal rewards. In July, the former deputy minister was sentenced to 13 years in prison and fined 100 million rubles.
In November last year, Ivanov donated the Pankratovo estate in the Tver Region, worth over 800 million rubles, to the state. At the same time, the court declared him bankrupt. The Prosecutor General's Office, in turn, on January 22 of this year appealed the decisions of the Presnensky Court of Moscow on a claim for the seizure of property of Ivanov and his relatives worth over 1.2 billion rubles.
A participant in the trial informed Izvestia on April 24 that Ivanov had pleaded not guilty in the second criminal case. In addition to him, Alexander Fomin, the co-founder of the Olimpcitystroy company, is in the dock, accused of paying a particularly large bribe. The third person involved in the case, businessman Sergei Borodin, pleaded guilty and entered into a pre—trial agreement, his case was separated into a separate proceeding.
