The planned targets for increasing life expectancy in Russia are being met, but it is important to change the approach of citizens to health, since longevity is not inherited. This was announced on April 25 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.

"So far, we are meeting the targets that we face. It is very important for us to change the human paradigm. A person should take care of their health from a young age," TASS quoted her as saying.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that taking care of health at a young age will allow a person to adjust their habits and lifestyle in a timely manner.

Golikova added that in the centers of healthy longevity medicine, citizens can undergo a full body check. After that, the person will be able to figure out what changes need to be made in their daily habits.

Golikova said on April 17 that there is still an insufficient level of access to medical care in some regions of Russia. However, she also noted that more than 122 million citizens of the country were covered by preventive examinations and medical examinations in 2025.
