Calculations of the self-propelled gun 2S1 "Gvozdika" destroyed the dugouts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region

Calculations of 122 mm self-propelled artillery units (ACS) 2S1 "Gvozdika" of the Vostok group of forces destroyed camouflaged dugouts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on April 25 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Hidden enemy positions and buried shelters were revealed by operators of unmanned aerial vehicles during aerial reconnaissance of forest belts. The coordinates of the targets were promptly transmitted to the gunners, who delivered precise strikes from closed firing positions. Fire correction and target damage control were carried out using drones in real time.

During the mission, the military used standard Russian communication and control systems. This made it possible to ensure high accuracy of hits.

It is specified that as a result of the shelling, the long-term fortifications and dugouts of the Ukrainian formations were completely destroyed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine's manpower, which was in shelters on the line of contact, was also destroyed.
