The Iranian side has not approached the US authorities with a proposal to hold new negotiations to resolve the conflict. This was reported by Tasnim news agency on April 24.

"Iran has not asked the Americans for talks and, on the contrary, has so far completely rejected the Americans' requests for talks due to their excessive demands," the Telegram channel said.

In addition, the agency accused White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt of lying. The reason was her claims that representatives of Tehran allegedly contacted the American side by phone to arrange another round of negotiations.

On April 24, Leavitt announced progress in negotiations with Iran. According to her, US President Donald Trump decided to send the special envoy of the American leader, Steven Witkoff, and the son-in-law of the head of the White House, Jared Kushner, to listen to the Iranian side. She noted that all members of the American leader's team will fly to Pakistan if it is necessary to develop negotiations with the Iranian side.

CNN News reported on April 24 that U.S. Vice President Jay Dee Vance would not attend the talks, as Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf was also not involved in the process. It is noted that if the negotiations progress, the vice president will travel to Islamabad. Ghalibaf's withdrawal from the peace process became known on April 23, information was received from the Israeli TV channel N12.
