On April 24, the United Russia Party held a Victory Dictation campaign in the Moscow Region for the eighth time, which was attended by more than 70,000 residents of the region. More than 1,400 sites in the Moscow region were organized for dictation.

The historical test was timed to coincide with the 130th anniversary of the birth of Marshal of Victory Georgy Zhukov and the 85th anniversary of the counteroffensive in the Battle of Moscow.

"Everyone should know the history of their city, the history of their country and important significant dates. <...> I am writing it ("Dictation of Victory." — Ed.) it is here (at the memorial to the Panfilov heroes. — Ed.) today, because it creates a special atmosphere," said Margarita Tishchenko, who took part in the dictation for the first time.

This year, the main venues for the test were the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow and the memorial complex to the Panfilov Heroes in the Moscow region. In addition, it was possible to take part in the action on the Dictation of Victory website.

"For the first time, the Dictation of Victory takes place in a very iconic place — on the Volokolamsk land near the memorial to the Panfilov heroes. Everything here is soaked in the blood of people who stood up for Moscow. <...> Today we pay tribute to their memory and respect — their indomitable will, indestructible spirit and boundless faith in Victory," said Igor Bryntsalov, secretary of the Moscow branch of United Russia.

On April 22, the St. George Ribbon campaign began in Russia, in which volunteers from the Volunteers of Victory headquarters will distribute millions of ribbons to passersby in 8,000 locations across the country. The campaign is timed to coincide with Victory Day and will be held from April 22 to May 9.
