It is necessary to restore agricultural machinery in every district of Belarus, as well as to teach new specialists how to repair machinery. This was announced by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on April 24.

"We need a nosebleed to restore agricultural machinery. To work, to work and to rebuild in every district," BelTA quoted Lukashenko as saying.

The Belarusian leader added that a significant part of agricultural enterprises have problems with the repair of special equipment. This is due not only to the increasing complexity of the devices, but also to the lack of specialists.

"Those people, those gray-haired old men, are no longer there. They might be out there somewhere. They should be asked to come, help, advise, and support the repairmen...> It is important now to pick it up, so that the old people teach the young people how to pass it on," he said.

The day before, Lukashenko, together with his pomeranian Umka, inspected the progress of sowing operations in the Minsk region from a helicopter. According to the presidential press service, about 40% of the planned sowing volume has been completed in the capital region of Belarus. The inspection took place as part of a series of events dedicated to the regional development of the republic.
