A memorial in memory of journalist and TV presenter Alexei Pimanov appeared at the editorial office of the Zvezda TV channel. The footage is published by Izvestia on April 24.

The TV presenter worked closely with Izvestia and was the closest partner with whom the series "SMERSH", "Rooks", "Operation Neman", "Evil" were created.

The presented footage shows that a stand with a portrait of a journalist was placed near the Zvezda building, on which there are also bouquets of flowers.

Pimanov died on April 23 at the age of 65. Pimanov's wife, actress Olga Pogodina, said that the cause of death of the TV presenter was a heart attack.

In 1996, the journalist became one of the founders of the Ostankino TV channel, as well as the main presenter of the Man and the Law program. Later, he became president of the Krasnaya Zvezda media holding, where he also wrote scripts for films.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Pimanov's departure a loss for Russian journalism. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the heads of the Ministry of Defense and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov and Alexander Bastrykin, Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky, the head of the Ministry of Culture Olga Lyubimova, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and others expressed their condolences.

Vladimir Tyulin, General Director of Izvestia News Center and REN TV channel, also expressed his deep condolences over Pimanov's death, calling him an honest, kind, open person and a true professional. Svetlana Balanova, CEO of the National Media Group (NMG), pointed to Pimanov's contribution to the development of Russian television and the media business.
