Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week
A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, facilities of fuel and energy, transport and port infrastructure, military airfields, places of assembly, storage and preparation for the launch of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries were affected.
"Units of the Center group of forces have actively liberated the Grishino settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic. The manpower and equipment of four mechanized, airmobile, amphibious assault, jaeger brigades, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two marine brigades, a defense brigade and four National Guard brigades were defeated. In total, the enemy lost over 2,295 military personnel, 29 armored combat vehicles and 39 vehicles in this area," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
During the week, as a result of the decisive actions of the units of the North group of forces, control was established over the village of Veterinary in the Kharkiv region. In total, the enemy lost more than 1,300 military personnel, eight armored combat vehicles, 96 vehicles and eight field artillery pieces in the area of responsibility of the North group of forces.
Units of the Zapad group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of three mechanized, airmobile, assault brigades, the security brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade. The enemy's losses in this area amounted to over 1,410 military personnel, 18 armored combat vehicles, 111 vehicles and 20 field artillery guns.
The fighters of the "Southern" group of forces improved their position along the front line. During the week, more than 1,290 servicemen, 20 armored combat vehicles, 92 vehicles and 18 field artillery guns were lost in the area of responsibility of the "Southern" Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Over the past week, units of the Vostok group of forces have advanced into the depths of the enemy's defenses. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces amounted to more than 1,605 military personnel, 12 armored combat vehicles, 37 vehicles and three artillery pieces.
During the week, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed two launchers of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system manufactured in the USA, five combat vehicles of the Uragan, Grad and RAK-SA-12 multiple launch rocket systems manufactured in Croatia, as well as three transport-loading vehicles. Air defense systems shot down 50 guided aerial bombs, eight US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a long-range guided missile "Neptune" and 2,464 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 137,266 unmanned aerial vehicles, 656 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,035 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,709 multiple rocket launchers, 34,594 field artillery and mortars, 60,079 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
