At least 10 people were injured as a result of tornadoes that struck the northern part of the United States of Oklahoma. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on April 24.
"At least 10 people were injured as a result of the tornado," the publication says.
It is noted that the disaster caused serious damage to the Vance air base in the city of Enid. Rescue services are conducting search and rescue operations at the scene, and additional medical staff have been called to local hospitals.
According to local media, a tornado destroyed an apartment building south of Enid — the roof was blown off and the walls collapsed. The New York Times clarified that dozens of tornadoes from Oklahoma to Iowa were reported in the evening, as well as several active storm warnings.
The New York Post newspaper reported on April 19 that a Cessna 401B plane crashed in the courtyard of one of the residents in the US state of Florida, killing one person. After the twin-engine plane crashed to the ground under "unknown circumstances," it caught fire and caused some damage to the house. The pilot, whose name has not been publicly announced, did not survive.
