Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said on April 24 that the sanctions imposed by the European Union (EU) against Russia are not capable of influencing Moscow's policy.

"We have long been self-sufficient, independent, these are (EU sanctions. It is a completely useless tool that they are trying to use in order to change our policy and our actions in the international arena. They are meaningless in this sense," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
