Footage of the detention of those planning a terrorist attack against Roskomnadzor employees has been published

On April 24, the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia showed footage of the detention of a terrorist group that was planning a terrorist attack against the leaders of Roskomnadzor by detonating a car using an explosive device.

The published footage shows that various types of weapons, including pistols and knives, were seized from the members of the group. In addition, FSB officers found a grenade and various neo-Nazi paraphernalia in their possession.

The detainees said that they were in chat rooms where terrorist actions were discussed and planned, in particular, aimed at Roskomnadzor employees.

According to one of the detainees, personal data of government officials was posted in the groups. The chat participants called for illegal actions, including arson.

The Central Control Center of the FSB of Russia previously reported on the prevention of a terrorist attack against the heads of Roskomnadzor. As a result of operational measures in Moscow, Ufa, Novosibirsk and Yaroslavl, seven people were detained. Criminal cases have been initiated against the detainees under articles on the illegal trafficking of weapons and explosive devices.
