Chechen writer and playwright Musa Akhmadov has passed away.
Chechen writer, poet and playwright Musa Akhmadov passed away after a long illness. This was announced on April 23 by the chairman of the Union of Writers of Chechnya, Alamakhadaev.
"It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of the famous Chechen writer, poet and playwright Musa Akhmadov. His life path was dedicated to serving his native language, people and preserving spiritual values," he told TASS.
Musa Akhmadov was born in 1956 in Kyrgyzstan. He is one of the most significant representatives of modern Chechen literature.
The writer left a great contribution to modern Chechen literature. Many of his novels, short stories, plays and poems are devoted to morality, ethics, spiritual values, as well as themes of historical memory. Plays based on his texts were staged both in theaters of the Chechen Republic and abroad.
In addition to his literary work, Akhmadov has made contributions to the educational field. He has prepared textbooks and programs on native language, ethics and national traditions.
