Putin held a meeting with Kyrgyz President Japarov

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Kyrgyz President Sadir Japarov the bilateral relations between Moscow and Bishkek.

"I want to note that all our agreements are being fulfilled, our teams are working on both sides, they are working actively, intensively. And there are results of this work, they are reflected in the pace of economic growth in Kyrgyzstan," Putin stressed.

Sadyr Japarov, in turn, called Kyrgyzstan a strategic partner and Russia's main ally.

"We have historical ties of friendship," he added.

Special attention was paid to Putin's upcoming visit to Kyrgyzstan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit on August 31.

During a telephone conversation on March 27, Putin and Japarov also praised the current state of interstate relations. At the same time, the heads of state confirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations in the spirit of alliance and strategic partnership.
