Belousov called TV presenter Pimanov a true patriot

On April 23, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov expressed his condolences over the death of TV presenter Alexei Pimanov.

"I ask you to convey my words of sympathy and support to Alexey Viktorovich's family and friends in this sad hour... He was a true patriot, a talented director, screenwriter and journalist," the telegram says, quoted by the Zvezda TV channel on its channel in MAX.

Belousov noted that Pimanov, having headed the Krasnaya Zvezda media holding, gathered a team of professionals and like-minded people who showed their effectiveness. According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, the TV presenter's contribution to Russian journalism deserves respect.

Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, also expressed his condolences over Pimanov's death. He noted that many of the plots of the program "Man and the Law" were prepared together with the investigators, which increased people's trust in law enforcement officers.

"Many of the stories were prepared in cooperation with the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, which helped to strengthen the confidence of citizens in the work of investigators. Our department had not only working, but also friendly relations with him," Bastrykin said in a statement posted on the UK Telegram channel.
