The loan of €90 billion issued to Kiev is supposed to be repaid through reparations payments from Russia, which, according to Brussels, are owed to Ukraine. This was announced on April 23 by the press service of the Council of the European Union (EU).
"The loan will be repaid at the expense of reparations that Russia must pay to Ukraine," the document says on the website of the EU Council.
