Tax benefits for entrepreneurs expanded in Buryatia
Tax incentives for rural entrepreneurs have been expanded in Buryatia. The People's Khural has considered a bill that preserves benefits for this category and makes it possible to provide a "cash-out" service through stores.
According to Regional Economy Minister Vladimir Khingelov, after municipal districts are transformed into districts in accordance with Federal Law No. 33, rural settlements are liquidated. Entrepreneurs working in them lose their tax benefits in accordance with the simplified taxation system.
The authors of the initiative propose to extend the benefits to settlements of up to 300 people that are part of municipal districts.
So far, the benefit is valid in rural settlements of up to 700 people. However, after the amendments are adopted, entrepreneurs in Mui and Okinsky Soyotsky municipal districts will also be able to use it.
As for the patent taxation system, it is also awaiting changes. According to IA UlanMedia, stores provide a "cash-out" service in villages where there are no ATMs. We are talking about issuing and accepting cash through the cashier. If earlier entrepreneurs with a simplified taxation system were doing this, then from 2025 those who use the patent system can do it. However, they need to issue a separate patent for a bank payment settlement. Thanks to the bill, this type of activity has become permitted.
According to Mikhail Stepanov, deputy head of the relevant committee of the People's Khural, the innovations will be useful to those who live far from banks and ATMs. By visiting local shops, they will be able to pay for housing and communal services, receive pensions and benefits, and withdraw cash.
Earlier it was reported that Buryatia took the first place in the number of sheep and goats among the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. At the end of 2025, there were 270.2 thousand individuals in the republic's farms, Buryatstat reports. In terms of the number of cattle, Buryatia took the second place after Transbaikalia, in pigs — the second place after Primorye and the third in horses — after Yakutia and the Trans-Baikal Territory.
