Megafon talked about smartphones popular among Russians

The share of Apple smartphones among devices registered in the Megafon mobile network reached 24% this year, displacing Xiaomi from the first place. Such data was distributed by the mobile operator, noting that the iPhone 11 remains in the top gadgets, and Tecno is growing in popularity among brands whose devices run on Android.

At the beginning of 2026, the top 10 smartphones used in the operator's network included eight iPhone models of different versions. Apple's 2019 flagship, the iPhone 11, remains the most common, with the iPhone 13 in second place, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max closes the top three.

Xiaomi was on the second line in popularity among smartphone brands with a share of 23%. One of the brand's most used phones is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13.

Samsung is in third place (19%).: The Galaxy A12 model was among the top devices of this brand. The fourth place was taken by Tecno, which was in sixth place last year. The top 5 is rounded out by Realme, which held the fourth position last year. Huawei, Infinix, Vivo and OPPO are among the top brands.

Vadim Zimin, Director of Megafon's Sales Strategy and Development Department, pointed out that Russians are increasingly choosing a gadget from the same brand, getting used to the interface and functionality. "At the same time, users are not in a hurry to update devices immediately after the release of the next flagship, but prefer the usual comfort, skipping even several generations of devices," he said.
