The Russian Foreign Ministry announced Russia's invitation to participate in the G20 summit in the United States.

Russia has received an invitation to participate at the highest level in the G20 summit, which will be held in the United States on December 14-15. This was announced on April 23 by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Pankin.

"There is an invitation to participate at the highest level," the diplomat said during a conversation with reporters at the UN headquarters.

Pankin noted that at the moment the composition of the Russian delegation has not been definitively determined. When asked who exactly would represent the country at the meeting in Florida, the Deputy minister replied that clarity on this issue would appear closer to the dates of the international forum.

On April 17, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation announced that the next meeting of the Group of Twenty at the level of deputy finance ministers and central bank governors would be held on May 14-15, 2026 in Fort Lauderdale, USA. The first meeting of finance ministers and Central Bank governors this year was held in Washington on April 16 under the chairmanship of the United States. The parties reached an understanding of the need to work out coordinated measures to reduce disagreements on global imbalances.
