The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has supported the proposal to remove videos insulting teachers from social networks. This was announced on April 22 by the press service of the department.

"The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation supports the initiative of the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin on the need to promptly remove videos containing insults to teachers on Internet sites. We are talking about publications distributed on social networks, where students humiliate teachers for the sake of viewing and audience engagement," the ministry said in a statement on its website.

The head of the Ministry of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, said that such materials undermine the authority of the teaching profession and form dangerous behaviors among teenagers. Broadcasting such content creates a distorted perception among children and adults about the permissibility of bullying, aggression and public humiliation.

Of particular concern is the fact that these videos often become part of planned provocations and a tool for involving young people in destructive information campaigns, the minister stressed.

Volodin suggested that the Ukrainian special services may be behind the trends for children that are spreading on social networks. He noted that in this way minors are trying to be involved in prohibited communities, since it is easier to spread destructive content through children. According to him, deputies receive appeals from different cities about offensive videos against teachers spreading on social networks.
