3,000 packages of illegal dietary supplements seized in Krasnodar

In Krasnodar, the facts of the sale of biologically active food additives without mandatory labeling have been revealed. All illegal products were seized, the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

Violations were recorded in seven retail outlets in the territory of the regional capital. According to KrasnodarMedia news agency, all stores belong to one entrepreneur.

Counterfeit dietary supplements were sold on Ignatov, Hakurate, Stasov, 40th Anniversary of Victory, Tyulyaev, Kubanskaya Embankment and Moskovskaya streets.

The police are currently conducting an inspection on the grounds of a crime under Article 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Sale of goods and products without labeling." A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the events.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that about 5,000 websites offering banned dietary supplements were blocked in Russia. Among the violations are the lack of state registration, as well as additives that were issued for ordinary food products, but containing substances in quantities exceeding the permissible standards.
