ATOR announced Vietnam's launch of a digital tourist arrival card
Since April 15, Vietnam has launched a digital arrival card for foreign tourists, which must be filled out shortly before traveling. This was announced on April 21 on the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
"Passengers subject to the new rule are required to: fill in full personal information before arriving at the border control point; after completing the declaration, the system will issue a confirming QR code, which must be presented to the border police officers at Tan Son Nhat International Airport when passing through immigration control," the publication says.
It is clarified that so far the innovation is valid exclusively at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and is advisory in nature, but in the future it may become mandatory at other points of entry. You can only select the date of entry no earlier than 72 hours before the date of the trip.
According to ATOR, it takes no more than 10 minutes to fill in all the necessary data. It can also be automated if you pre-upload photos of your passport.
ATOR reported on April 6 that over 367,000 Russians visited Vietnam in the first quarter of 2026. The association noted that Russia ranks first in terms of the number of arrivals to the country among all European countries.
