Forecasters have announced a disappointing forecast for May 9th.

Weather forecast for May 9 in Moscow

May will be mostly warm in Moscow and the Moscow region, and residents of the region will enjoy sunny weather. Clouds are forecast on May 8th and 9th. These days, the air temperature will warm up to +16 degrees during the day and will range from +5 to +6 at night. Such data is provided by the RU-METEO service.

The rest of the weekend, May 10 and 11, will be clear, with thermometers rising to +17 degrees. In general, about eight clear days and about 13 days with precipitation are forecast for May.

Weather forecast for May holidays

The start of the May holidays may be accompanied by moderately cool and unstable weather. In the first days of May, the weather may be the same as at the end of April.

"We are not expecting any warming yet. The night temperature will be positive, but not high, in the range of +1... +6 degrees. And the daytime temperature is +7... +10 degrees, not higher than that," said Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, in an interview with Izvestia.

According to her, more accurate forecasts will appear closer to the end of April, when the development of atmospheric processes becomes clearer. According to preliminary calculations, partly cloudy skies and occasional rain are expected on May 1-2. During the day, the temperature will be +11... +13 degrees, at night — +6 ... +8 degrees.

The forecaster clarified that the probability of such a scenario at the beginning of the month is estimated at 65-70%.

Weather forecast for May 2026 in Russia

In May, the temperature regime in most of Russia will remain within the limits of the climatic norm, with minor upward deviations expected in a number of regions.

According to the forecast of the Hydrometeorological Center, higher temperature values compared to the long-term averages may be observed in the Far East. In particular, we are talking about the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Amur Region and the southern regions of Yakutia, where the end of spring may be slightly warmer than usual.

The precipitation regime in May will be heterogeneous and will be unevenly distributed throughout the country. An increased chance of rain is forecast in the Leningrad Region, Karelia, in the east of the Northwestern Federal District, as well as in several regions of the Volga region, Siberia and the Urals, where more frequent and prolonged precipitation is possible.

At the same time, a shortage of moisture is expected in some regions. Drier weather is forecast in the Arkhangelsk region, in the north-east of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as in the western and central regions of Yakutia, where precipitation in late spring may be noticeably less than usual.
